Thursday, September 8th, 2016 at Elica’s headquarter in Fabriano

Elica and Fondazione Ermanno Casoli (FEC) have been promoting a new E-STRAORDINARIO for Kids event – an educational workshop cycle dedicated to Elica’s employees’ children. This has become a classic appointment before schools reopening. The project has reached its fourth edition and inspires to E-STRAORDINARIO, the educational program that FEC conceived to bring contemporary art into the business sector. It was successfully experimented in several companies and it revealed to be a valuable educational and methodological tool that is addressed to employee. Thanks to this project, FEC obtained several acknowledgments, including the sponsorship of the Italian Ministry for Arts and Culture and the Cultura+Impresa Award 2014.
One of the most famous couple in the art sector, the duo Vedovamazzei (Stella Scala and Simeone Crispino), will be the main characters of this new highly creative event. This will be held on Thursday, September 8th at the ELICA plant of Fabriano. Vedovamazzei has conceived a workshop entitled SHAPING THE WORLD – Plasmare il mondo, curated by Marcello Smarrelli. Seventy kids, aged 6 to 10, will be asked to reinvent their parents’ working place as an ideal creative space.

The workshop will be divided into three steps: firstly, a preparatory step during which participants will familiarize with the topics of working day and the material that will be used: clay. Secondly, kids will be involved into planning and creating their ideal factory and the relevant most suitable uniform; finally, a conclusive step will be dedicated to arranging the exhibition of their works.

Play, fantasy and dream will be shaped by handling clay, the most classic “artistic” material that art and craft share.
The workshop will develop in this lucid yet highly educational context; it will be carried out in the Elica headquarter of Fabriano, which is the company core and was chosen as ideal observatory to allow kids to familiarizing with their parents’ working place, by participating in their daily activities.
