E-STRAORDINARIO is back to Fabriano

On Friday, February 20th, at Museo della Carta e della Filigrana in Fabriano, the new E-STRAORDINARIO event will be held.

This meeting is entitled Esercizi di stile (Style Exercise) and is curated by Marcello Smarrelli, Fondazione Casoli art director; its protagonists will be artist Diego Marcon and Luca Varvelli, specialized trainer for human resources training and development. This workshop was conceived for a group of entrepreneurs from the Fabriano territory and the Pesaro-Urbino and Macerata provinces; it is included within the “CultLab – Spin off di impresa culturale” program, promoted by Meccano spa, Università di Urbino “Carlo Bo” and Università di Macerata. This project aims at networking cultural projects and the enterprise sector, by fostering development opportunities that this meeting can trigger.

Esercizi di stile, as the title suggests, is a writing experiment and is inspired by the homonymous book by Raymond Queneau. Participants will be provided with a short “basic anecdote” and they will have to develop three variations, according to the linguistic register, the literary genre and the physical support upon which they will re-write the text. Participants will be working in three groups; once the workshop ends, every contribution will be re-processed by the artist and will compose a fanzine in eBook format; this will be delivered to the students of Sole 24 Ore’s Business School Master in Economics and Management in Arts and Culture. This project is perfectly in line with Diego Marcon’s poetics: his work constantly questions the notions of reality and realism, as well as the role that languages play in defining them – by investigating the imagine status in the mass media era.

Luca Varvelli will guide the participants in an experience aimed at strengthening the innovative thinking, by using the artistic metaphor as an educational methodology. He will work on the value of changes and paradigm breaks.
